Critic Reviews
Decanter | 95 DEC
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Monts Luisants Blanc was showing especially well, unwinding with notes of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest, white flowers and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive, with a concentrated, tightly wound core and a penetrating finish, it’s one site that climate change clearly hasn’t adversely affected.

The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Monts Luisants Blanc 1er Cru has such a pretty aromas with lemon thyme and lemon verbena aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a tangy, quince-tinged opening matched with a fine bead of acidity. Whereas the Morey Village Blanc remains quite linear, this gently fans out on its pure orange pith and apricot-tinged finish. Maybe not a long-term Monts Luisants, yet it will certainly given much drinking fulfilment over the following decade.

(Domaine Dujac Morey St. Denis “Monts Luisants” 1er Cru White) Here the nose is both more elegant and cooler with its aromas of green apple, lemon zest and subtle floral wisps. The sleek, intense and beautifully delineated flavors exhibit solid length on the clean, dry and lingering finale that is presently somewhat linear though it should flesh out quickly.
