Orange Wine

(Skin Contact White Wine)
Orange Wine is wine made from white grapes where the fermenting juice is given a longer period of maceration on the skins.

Most white wine is made by pressing grapes, separating the juice and discarding the skins. If instead it is left to macerate and ferment with the grape skins, the result is a wine that is orange or amber in colour and with a tannic texture usually only found in red wine.
