The first wine made by Esporão in 1985, the grapes for this interesting blend are grown at Herdade do Esporão, an eighteen-year-old vineyard of granitic schist and clay soils. The wine style showcases the consistency and rich character typical of top Alentejo wines. Esporão Reserva has aromas of black fruit jam with spices of black pepper and clove, the palate combines this with notes of coffee, dark berries, and dark chocolate with a persistent finish.
