Introducing the 4th Edition of Wonders of Wood, a series of Dublin Distilled Single Pot Still whiskeys that have all been recognised on the global award stage
At Teeling Whiskey they believe in driving the evolution of Irish Whiskey through the creation of unconventional and unique expressions. Their Wonders of Wood Series is part of this innovative mission as they strive to push the boundaries of flavour by using unique styles of wood for maturation.
In partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland, the Wonders of Wood series will help to plant exclusively native Irish tree Species in their very own designated acre of land in Ireland.
Following on from the success of their first three releases, which have all been recognised on the global award stage, the fourth edition of their Single Pot Still crafted from a blend of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which has been triple distilled in their Dublin distillery and fully matured in Virgin Carpathian Oak casks. Sourced from the vast and ancient forests of the Carpathian Mountains, this rare oak is known for its tight grain and rich tannins, which impart deep complex flavours. When used for whiskey maturation, it produces a distinctive spiciness, sandalwood and fruit character unique to Irish Whiskey.
