Description
St. Idesbald is Belgian abbey beer, brewed by the Huyghe Brewery in Melle, also known for their Delirium beer. Until 1994, the beers were brewed by Damy Brewery in Olsene. In February 1994 this brewery comes into the hands of Huyghe, who continues to brew the beers. In 2004 St. Idesbald Rousse (amber) was also added to the range. The name St. Idesbald refers to the Abbey of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Ten Duinen and to Sint-Idesbald, the third abbot of the Dune Abbey around 1155. St. Idesbald bears the ‘Recognised Belgian Abbey Beer’ label.
