Japanese Whisky

The international demand for Japanese whiskies is outstripping supply. It owes its origins to Masataka Taketsuru, who learned his craft at Scottish whisky distilleries. After returning to Japan in 1920, Shinjiro Torii contracted him, and the Suntory distillery was formed. As a result, Japanese whisky tastes very similar to Scotch whisky.
