Hennessy XO Cognac

Description

Hennessy XO is an intense deep amber in colour, an original ‘extra-old’ cognac, darker and much more complex than the VSOP, first bottled in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for family and friends.  On the rich and full-bodied nose aromas of dark dried fruit such as dates, plums and sultanas together with spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, leather and tobacco. Poised palate is rich and smooth with full and powerful sensation of flavours of candied and dried fruits and nutty nuances. Its flavours and its subtle and lightly spicy nose are in complete harmony, marking its power and roundness. The long finish expresses all the complexity of the cognac’s blending and its long ageing process with notes of caramel, custard and oak.
