This wine produces a fine head of mousse around the top of the glass, with persistent bubbles. Its nose is very open, fresh, elegant; very pronounced and vinous. On the palate the wine is lively, easy to drink and distinguishes itself by a remarkable finesse; fresh on the finish with long-lasting aromas and flavours.
This Cremant is a good way to begin a dinner or celebrate a big event. Perfect with shellfish.
"There is a savory touch of salt and herb amidst the fruity mirabelle plum notes on the nose. The palate shows a lovely background of autolytic richness, akin to sponge and rye bread and also has a piquant salty accent that entices all the way to the lemony bright finish. The mousse is fine and elegant, the finish is long and dry." 92 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, January 2017
"Made from Pinots Blanc, Gris and Noir, and Riesling – the final blend based on a solera method of previous vintages added to the wine of the year. On lees for 12 months and then 18 months' ageing in bottle (this one disgorged in 2007). White apricot and pear, with hazelnut notes, yet floral and citrusy on the finish with still vibrant bubbles." 91 points, Decanter.com, July 2015
